How to Add Libraries in Sketchware

Guide
Tutorial Steps
Dependency Tips

Sketchware is powerful, but sometimes you need external power. Follow these steps to import Maven repositories.

Step 1
Navigate to Maven Repository
Go to Maven Repository using your browser. Search for the library you need.
Step 2
Select the Library
Click on the library you've chosen to view its details and available versions.
Step 3
Get Version Info
Identify and note the latest stable version of the library.
Step 4
Open Library Manager
Open your Sketchware project. Access the "Library" section and click on "Add Local Library".
Step 5
Configure & Download
Enter the string: Url:name:version.
Example: com.unity3d.ads:unity-ads:4.9.0
Select D8 (Recommended) and click Download.
Step 6-9
Finish Integration
Start the download, locate the file (named name_version), and check the box to activate it.

Understanding dependencies is key to avoiding build errors.

Format Matters Always use the strict format Group:Name:Version or the download will fail.
DX vs D8 D8 is the newer compiler. Use it for better compatibility with Java 8 features.
